Timothy Garrison
Timothy Garrison is a Skagit County small business owner with extensive experience in accounting and both federal and state tax matters. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration with an accounting concentration and an M.B.A. in Finance, bringing strong financial management skills to the Treasurer's Office. His work in commercial fishing and cattle ranching also builds practical budgeting and cash-flow experience. Garrison volunteers with Skagit Valley Church of Christ and supports youth and community assistance programs, as well as Shriners fundraising and Burn Center initiatives.

In today's fraud-rich environment, Skagit County taxpayers deserve responsible stewardship of public funds. Timothy Garrison brings private-sector accounting and tax experience, along with the financial discipline to review and challenge how public money is handled. His background across federal and state tax processes supports careful compliance, documentation, and accountability — core expectations of the Treasurer's role.
As a father of four, a college graduate, and a defender of the Constitution, Timothy will put Skagit County first and serve taxpayers with integrity. He supports constitutionally lawful, transparent operations and will not allow improper or unlawful transactions under his watch.
As Treasurer, Timothy's focus will be eliminating fraud and protecting every taxpayer dollar by thoroughly reviewing and scrutinizing transactions that come through the Treasurer's Office. He will promote transparency, deliver exceptional customer service, and bring practical innovation to the way the office serves the community — making it easier for residents to understand and engage with Treasurer services.
