Four Write-In Candidates on Your August 4, 2026 Primary Ballot
Your primary ballots are arriving in the mail this week — please take a few minutes to write in all four names.
To have a real election, voters need a choice. Four faith-based constitutionalists with a time-tested record of dedication to Skagit County are running as write-in candidates, and they are asking you to make the extra effort to write their names on your ballot:
- Derrill FussellCoroner
- Cody HartSheriff
- Tim GarrisonTreasurer
- Amanda ToscanoClerk
We need 1% of the voters to write in these names. Reach that threshold and all four will advance to the General Election — appearing in the November voters' pamphlet and on the ballot. Please share this with your relatives, friends, and neighbors.
How to write in all four names
On your primary ballot, fill in the write-in oval for each office and print the candidate's name on the line, exactly like the examples below:
Send us a photo of your write-in vote
After you fill it out, take a picture of your write-in section — the ballot, not yourself — and send it to us. That gives us an extra record on file in case a recount is ever needed.

Every vote counts. Please write in all four names — Fussell, Hart, Garrison, and Toscano — and spread the word before August 4, 2026. Under Washington law, a write-in candidate advances from the primary only by receiving at least 1% of the total votes cast for that office.
